Since graduating from the HF für zeitgenössischen und urbanen Bühnentanz in Zurich, Basel-based dancer Johanna Heusser has been working with various companies and choreographers in Switzerland. She regularly teaches dance and yoga on an international level. Since 2016, she has been creating her own work, which has been shown at theaters and dance festivals throughout Europe. Johanna is a winner of the Atelier Mondial 2018 and winner of the Double Tanz 2020 by Migros-Kulturprozent. With her first solo piece how to do a downward facing dog? she was shortlisted for Swiss Dance Days 2021 and accepted into one of eight Salon d’Artistes. She is a semi-finalist of PREMIO Switzerland 2021 and studies in the Master Expanded Theatre at the HKB in Bern. In the 2021 season, she worked at Schauspielhaus Vienna and choreographed the piece COMA in collaboration with Marcel Schwald. Her latest piece about Swiss wrestling was invited for the Swiss Theatertreffen 2022, and a new piece about zodiac signs and astrology is planned for 2023.
